Tomato varieties have about 8,000 seeds per ounce, although small-fruited varieties may have 10,000 or more seeds per ounce. Peppers have about 3,000 to 4,000 seeds per ounce, and eggplants have about 6,000 seeds per ounce. The larger quantities listed contain approximately the following numbers of seeds.

Dark green peppers mature to almost brown and are 5 inches long and 2-1/2 inches wide with a slight taper and blunt end.
